Yes their are disadvantages to providing ai systems with intelligence because it will increase the cost of them. Also their are only few experienced people who are actually able to work with ai. The parts needed for the ai might not be available just yet because technology isnt more advance.  Another disadvantage is it will take time meaning by the time the work is done not everybody will be alive to see it. Artificial Intelligence is an over-hyped concept. It has more to do with the ability of a machine to handle large volumes of data.
