S. are used to riding horses or ponies, but an elephant ride is unusual. Elephants are much bigger than horses--to get on, I had to climb a ladder. But even though I was up so high, I wasn’t scared at all. The elephant, Mimi, was gentle and moved slowly. Her back was so wide I wasn’t scared of falling off. When she walked, I was able to see a long way from her high back. It was a great experience.
