onomatopoeia, personification, oxymoron and/or alliteration.
Sam moved the window cover up revealing the wing of the plane
cutting through the marshmallow clouds with lightning speed. He
flew for his job often, so the routine felt like clockwork until he
heard a few creaks and bangs from underneath his seat. The pilot's
nervously calm voice came over the intercom indicating that we
would be making an emergency landing in Montreal. Sam could see
the plane was suffering as it was sputtering every few seconds. The
passengers, like frightened children, began to panic while they the
descended. The crash landing sent Sam flying in his seat.
He was thankful to be alive!
