He doesn't want to talk to his family, he doesn't want to hear his father's words. However, this situation changes at the end of the story, because Greg, remains the same boy with the same dreams, but started to see life and family with different eyes. He is no longer disgusted and knows that his father will complain about the attitudes he presented, but he is happy to have a family that cares and is eager to hear from his father again.

This change occurs because in "Treasure of Lemon Brown" we learn that Greg decides to run away from home, due to disagreements with his family, however, he meets a homeless person who begins to tell the story of his own life. This makes Greg reflect on the way he is living and behaving. This reflection brings about a great change in Greg.
