Jackie Robinson once said, “A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.” How does the excerpt from his autobiography, I Never Had It Made, support this statement? Thinking of this quote, why do you think Robinson chose to write an autobiography? Include evidence from the text as you form your response. This response should start with a quick intro sentence or two that references the prompt, then your overall thesis statement (central idea). Then follow up with AT LEAST 2 pieces of text evidence with explanation for the conclusion (thesis statement) that you came up with.
outline:
Intro sentence or two - you can even include the quote if you want. Be sure to reference the excerpt and author in the intro. I Never Had It Made , by Jackie Robinson
Create and include your thesis statement that answers the prompt: Based on his quote, "", one reason he may have chosen to write his autobiography was to show his challenges so that he can encourage others.
Transition to your first example from the text that supports your thesis statement. Then explain what that example means and how it relates to your thesis. After that include a 2nd example and explanation. Close with a conclusion sentence.
This may seem like a lot! Thank you!
