The English Bill of Rights Made it so the rulers had to abide by the laws of the country. It guarteed the rights of the individuals that were ruled over.

The trail by jury is very similar to this, for it punishes people by how the law sees fit and gurtees that the individual standing for incrimination gets a rightful punishment.

For the other answers, cruel punishent is exactly the opposite. Its freely punishing people unjust to the law and follows no law or rights.

The right the bear arms might be though of as similar, but when yout hink about it, the right to bear arms isnt granting justnes, justice, freedom, or law. It is simply allowing the the possesion of person property.

Taxes as can be seen if you look extendedly into several states, countries, are even small areas, can be quite harmful and metaphorically and literally inprisioning at times. Finally we have no standing army. To put it simply, that army is a way for different countries to be prepared for war and defense. Preparing for wars and defense is not a part of rights, however it is a part of leadership. However, the english bill of rights didnt dabble to much in the rulership, and more of the RULES and LAWS that must be upheld by all.
