In A Christmas Carol, the spirits make Scrooge understand the consequences of his actions. They show him that the life he is living isn’t the true path to happiness. This experience is similar to the way that God made Saul see the error of his ways. Later, Scrooge makes the most of his revelation by changing his ways completely. However, in much the same way as early Christians doubted Saul’s conversion to the Christian Paul, the people of London at first doubted the change in Scrooge. But after seeing the genuineness of both men’s actions, people accepted them as they went on to set a legacy through their good works.
