Direct characterization is a way in which a character is introduced to the readers. It gives a clear overview of the character in a straightforward manner.

Though all the other sentences above tells something about the characteristics of a character but in an indirect way. Only the first sentence introduces Biblo in a simple, clear and straight manner.
