The reading style that I would use when looking through a newspaper to look at the day's headlines is skimming. This is the case because it is a fast reading technique to get the main idea of a piece of work. When you skim, yo pay attention to the headlines and pictures. If you were to to scan the newspaper, you would also look for important information in the text.
