My class read a story today, gore by sarah ellis.

here's bit of a summary: there are twins, once a boy (the older, stronger and faster one) and a girl (the younger twin). the girl was reading a book that she's been waiting for, for a while now. her twin brother yanks it out of her hands and goes to the washroom to read the book with the door locked. the girl asks if she could have it back, the brother says no. the girl pretends something is going on at their house when really what she's doing is reading an intense book out loud. she acts as if what she's reading is actually happening in real life. that's pretty much what happens in the story.

question: this story shows a young girl using her creativity to defeat her much larger and more aggressive brother. select one of the following subjects and write a theme statement for what the story reveals about it. (creativity, intelligence, conflict, or bullying) you!
