The answer is B: character.

According to the classical units, or Aristotelian units, derived from the Greek´s work, Poetics, there are three rules for drama that need to be followed. First, there must be a unity of action: the story follows one main plot line. Second, there must be a unity of time: the story should unfold in no more than 24 hours. And finally, there must be a unity of place: the story should unfold in one single physical space. The unity of character, or how a character is portrayed throughout the story, is not one demanded by Aristotelian units.
