A bridge is a sentence used to connect your topic sentence with the rest of your work. 
 for example, 
  your beliefs on Entropy depend greatly on how you believe the world was formed. Evolutionists believe that that world was formed by a single celled organism to the domanent species on the planet. 
    The sentence beganing with Evolutionists believe... is the bridge because it connects the subject of Entropy and Evolution. Do you understand?
