"listen jolu, that was really stupid of me. i did it at like two in the morning. i was just crazy when it was happening. i—" i couldn't explain it. yeah, he was right, and that was the problem. it had been two in the morning but i could have talked to jolu about it the next day or the next. i hadn't because i'd known what he'd say—that it was an ugly hack, that i needed to think it through better. jolu was always figuring out how to turn my 2 am ideas into real code, but the stuff that he came out with was always a little different from what i'd come up with. i'd wanted the project for myself. i'd gotten totally into being m1k3y.
