What would the disciples be like after jesus arose ?

After Jesus arose the disciples found it kind of hard to believe he had risen. Maybe because the fact that someone had came back to life still stunned them. "Doubting Thomas" is the disciple that earned his nickname because he doubted Jesus had came back to life and been seen by the other disciples.
