Scout and her family spend Christmas at Finch's landing with aunt Alexandra and her family. Atticus gives Scout and Jem an important lesson on shooting air rifles. Aunt Aexandra does not think scout is enough of a girl, she gets into fights with boys at school, uses cuss words, and Alexandra disapproves of her not acting like a lady.
