Internal. Which means "problems in the inside" as with themselves. For example, many people face depression, anxiety, paranoiajust to name a few. All of those are MENTAL illness that people have to battle with daily. External conflict/ battles, are with actual people.. something we can see. External means "outside". Hope I helped!
