The event that is foreshadowed by the Prince’s words is Romeo and Juliet’s tragic death, which, in turn, resulted from their encounter in a party, their disobedience and their secret wedding. Two servants from the Capulet family provoke two servants from the Montague family, and they start a fight. Benvolio tries to stop them, but he ends up fighting with Tybalt. Capulet and Montague try to fight as well, but Prince Escalus, the Prince of Verona, appears and reprimand them very severely. It is then when he warns them: "If ever you disturb our streets again [...]," although he eventually let them all go. Romeo and Juliet won't fight as the servants and the masters, and they won't disturb the streets, but, after their reckless act, they will have to pay with their lives the forfeit that will bring peace for the city and its rivaling families.
