What kind of writing is found in a scientific essay?

In a scientific essay it is very important to follow the claim-data-warrant structure for each paragraph. Most scientific essays need to have a lot of data and evidence backing up the claim but the warrant is probably the most important part because it is explaining to your audience WHY.
