First off, you can never make a better impression than the first. Arriving early shows someone that you are committed to this and want to be there and do stuff (whatever it might be). Second, you also won't miss anything. Imagine if you were late and you didn't get any important info to a meeting crucial to your business. That wouldn't be good. Third, it is just common courtesy to come early.
