However, for the the thesis you need to basically make a statement with no opinion. I use did my state testing in writing so I think I can help.

ex:

topic is about dogs or cats

a thesis could be: Overall people all around the world are proven to like dog over cats.

as you can see the claim is simple, and doesn’t have an opinion since we will use are reason to scientifically prove it.
