You now know the entire story of A Christmas Carol. Think about who Scrooge was at the beginning of the story. Then compare and contrast that image to the person he becomes by the end of the story. Write about the differences in his behavior and the changes that he makes in his life. For example, at the beginning, Scrooge rejects a request for a charity donation. He says that he supports the establishment that runs prisons and workhouses, and those should be enough for the poor. In the final chapter, Scrooge finds one of the men he turned away for the charity request. Scrooge tells him that he will contribute to the charity fund as long as the man promises to keep his donation anonymous.
