College
There, before me, stands a world unknown.
I try to look beyond these four walls alone.
However, it is daunting to stand on my own,
For it shows that I am almost fully grown.
There are guides who have shown me the way,
But what am I supposed to do when they are far away.
They have not only taught me every day,
But they helped me get to where I am today.
I might I have to move a great distance
And live another existence.
I will have to learn to do so with little resistance
And make it through with some persistence.
Although it is but another place to learn,
It is the very something for which I yearn.
There, I will get something I want to earn.
But, for now, I must wait patiently for my turn.
