How did the common people feel about Julius Caesar in the beginning of the play?

We know that Julius Caesar was liked by the people early in the play when Flavius and Marullus chastise the common people for celebrating and for putting decorations on Caesar's statue.

In all he was adored by the people in early parts on the play

he is. some of his decisions were very irresponsible and did lead to the death of both romeo and juliet, such as him marrying them too quick or him not clarifying romeo's plan with him.

basically he did not think things through well enough or at all.
