Submit the final research essay about an author whose text you have recently read in class (or one of your choosing) whose work incorporates experiences or key ideas that are central to the author's culture. Your essay must be a well-researched informative essay of at least 300-500 words that explores ways in which the work reflects the author’s cultural context. Examples of cultural context or influence include topics such as arranged marriage, religious influence, forms of government, or regional or ethnic values. Information to be included:

author's biographical information
author's position and contribution to country of origin
key ideas and passages from author's work that support thesis
reflective conclusion about the author and his/her contribution to literature
