1The Constitution of the United States is important because It expresses a profound idea about liberty. This notion is that "We the People"
own the government. We create the laws and elect ordinary citizens to help enforce them. The government should never be more powerful
than the people.
2Before the United States enacted the Constitution, the governments of some nations exercised absolute power over people. These
