Angel went to the zoo most days. His dad was a zookeeper, so he got in for free. However, today was
different than all the other times he had gone to the zoo. Today, a monkey followed him home. It was a
golden lion tamarin, a bright, tiny beast with silky hair and a grumpy face. Angel walked faster, but the
monkey kept up with him.
"Go back to the zoo," said Angel.
Angel took the long way home, winding through the neighborhood, but whenever he looked back, the
monkey was still there. It followed him all the way home. He paused in front of the front door and entered
the house carefully, quickly closing the door behind him.
Unfortunately, someone had forgotten to close the kitchen window, and the monkey snuck into the
house. Angel at first didn't realize it because he sat in his bedroom, doing his math homework, but soon he
grew hungry and needed a snack.
