Why does Calpurnia’s church need to raise money for Helen Robinson?
No one will hire her because of the accusation against her husband, Tom.
Her and Tom's house burned down and they lost all of their possessions.
She needs to pay Atticus to defend Tom against Mayella's accusations.
She doesn't work and can't afford to take care of her children since Tom was arrested.
