I believe that technology and media is greatly affecting people's abilities to focus, think, and connect with others. Social media can lead to short attention spans, which is especially seen with the use of platforms such as TikTok. Additionally, social media changes the ways we connect with others. Where a normal conversation would allow for visual cues, as well as tone of voice, text messages do not allow for these types of connection. Overall, I believe that technology and media has both positive and negative effects on society.
