How do social media platforms affect the social skills of the learners at school?​

Social media can improve a student’s ability to communicate with other people by exposing them to new people every single day. with each one of these new exposures, there comes a possibility for the student to have a conversation, really about anything and everything. as the student gets more comfortable with talking to others, their social skills will improve at school. this could mean a more outgoing personality, more visibly engaged in the lesson (asking more questions/ answering more questions) and talking to their peers rather than sitting alone. of course, social media has many bad qualities, but it really does have some good qualities as well.

In my opinion, social media can improve social skills of students. Social media helps students communicate with each other, share their information (educational) and knowledge with each other, and connect with educational/ learning groups. Some students who are more of a introvert have a hard time talking face to face with someone, or calling but are more comfortable texting.
