Ponyboy Curtis is a 14-year-old boy whose world has been turned upside down. His parents were killed in an automobile accident just eight months before The Outsiders story takes place. He lives with his oldest brother, Darry, who is 20 years old and has legal custody of him and his other brother, Sodapop, who is 16.

Sodapop, sometimes called "Soda," is the middle of the three Curtis brothers. He is energetic, disinterested in school, and movie-star handsome.... He reminds Darry and Ponyboy that they "ought to be able to stick together against everything" since they're all they have left family wise.Ponyboy feels that he loves Soda more than Darry, because Soda is different from other people. He thinks that Darry treats him like a child. At only twenty years old, Darry acts older than he is. He is "hard and firm" while Soda is always grinning.Johnny Cade is a vulnerable sixteen-year-old greaser in a group defined by toughness and a sense of invincibility. He comes from an abusive home he takes to the greasers because they are his on reliable family.Dally's violent tendencies make him more dangerous than the other greasers, and he takes pride in his criminal record.Two-Bit Matthews is the oldest member of the Greasers. as we know, the english language is spoken all over the world by native and non-native speakers and has become the most certain tool when it comes to communicating. businesses, schools, even romantic relationships depend on it to keep thriving. in addition, it is the language of the internet not only because most of the content available is in english, but also because people prefer to use it when talking to others, since it's the language everyone supposedly learns.

yet, there have been some current claims that chinese will soon take over as the most important language in the world. china's magnitude has never been more evident and doing business with the chinese is a gold mine for any country. we now see language schools offering chinese courses as commonly as english.

however - even though we cannot deny china's importance and the advantage it is when someone takes the time to learn the language their business contact speaks-, people in general seem to be ignoring the aspects that seem to keep english as the chosen one of languages. one of them has been mentioned above: it is the language of the internet. also, chinese people are still learning english, since it opens doors in communicating with practically everyone else, from every single country.
