Minimum expectation for a passing grade is eight sentences and maximum expectation is twelve sentences. If you write less than eight or more than twelve, you will not receive a passing grade (C) or better.
This is for an assessment grade.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Had worn them really about the same,
