You will need to write a total of 3 ACES paragraphs answering the focus question: Is College Worth It? You will submit your 3 ACES paragraphs through Canvas. Nothing other than your 3 ACES paragraphs need to be submitted.

1. First read through this entire PDF file posted here to view the documents and understand the topic: DBQ- Is College Worth It?

2. After you have examined all the primary source documents in the PDF file above, you must select three documents to support your answer to the focus question. All three documents that you choose MUST support your answer to the focus question: Is college worth it?

3. You will write an ACES paragraph for each of the 3 documents you selected to support your answer to the focus question. Within each paragraph, you will cite evidence from just ONE of the 3 documents you selected. You chose 3 different documents to support your answer, so you will submit a total of 3 ACES paragraphs for your final exam. You do not have to submit anything else, just submit your 3 ACES paragraphs.

4. Please make sure to follow the ACES paragraph formula below to receive the highest points possible for your ACES paragraphs. Additionally, make sure to look at the rubric attached to understand how points will be distributed.

Follow the ACES Paragraph format below to receive FULL CREDIT (Remember-You will write 3 ACES paragraphs for this assessment):

C-In your second sentence, cite evidence from a historical document to support your answer. Make sure to put parentheses at the end of your sentence stating which document the evidence was found--this is how you cite evidence.

E-Write two more sentences explaining or elaborating on your cited evidence and telling me more about the topic.

S-The very last sentence is your conclusion sentence--summarize the main point of your paragraph.

**If you follow these steps, you will have at least 5 sentences in your paragraph. You must follow the instructions above to receive full credit for this assignment. Do NOT use first person language (Example—”I believe” or “in my opinion”).
