In novels, the antagonist, or villain, usually remains static, never changing or learning from their mistakes. In rare cases, the antagonist does experience growth throughout the novel. Choose a novel in which an antagonist is a
dynamic character. Then, in a well written essay, explain how that character changes an what the changes reveal
about the meaning of the work as a whole.
CFS:
• Introduction: Introduce the novel and include your thesis.
• First body: (character]'s initial behavior at the beginning of the book
• Second body. Although, (character] begins they begin to (how they're changing, what they
changed to and why)
Conclusion: Restate how they changed (Thesis) and what this reveals about humanity/society/the world/lesson
