Read this paragraph and the question that follows. The second argument is also flawed because, although it is true that students have many decisions made for them, whether or not to live healthy lives should not be their decision. Adults are entrusted with the difficult job of nurturing and caring for America's youth, who can be easily manipulated by their taste buds. Young people require guidance in many areas, and their diets are one such area because young people only like to eat and drink what tastes good. Soda, because of its high sugar content and yummy additives, tastes good. When given the choice, many youngsters will choose soda based on an impulse to have something delicious without giving any thought to the long term effects soda will have on their bodies. They also may choose soda because they are not aware of healthier alternatives to it. It is up to adults to educate children on how simple choices like soda or water can impact them over the course of a lifetime. Adults need to help students evaluate their options.

Read the following passage: he roamed from chamber to chamber with hurried, unequal, and objectless step. the pallor of his countenance had assumed, if possible, a more ghastly hue— but the luminousness of his eye had utterly gone out. the once occasional huskiness of his tone was heard no more; and a tremulous quaver, as if of extreme terror, habitually characterized his utterance. there were times, indeed, when i thought his unceasingly agitated mind was laboring with some oppressive secret, to divulge which he struggled for the necessary courage. which of the above ideas might be considered foreshadowing? he is wandering all over the chamber his skin tone is really pale his voice is quivering the narrator thinks he is laboring with an oppressive secret
