"Last Chance Final English 9 W3 and W5: Writing Narratives
Directions: Prompt: In the space below, write two paragraphs in which you show the techniques
of dialogue and show don't tell After writing, go through and make quality changes to improve
the look and sound of your writing (W3 and W5).
For the topic of your narrative, you should focus on something that really happened to you it
can be a story from your childhood or you telling me about what you did over the weekend. Just
make sure to include those storytelling elements (W3) and to editrevise (W5). Remember when
you edit, look for things like capitalization, punctuation, and spelling. For revising, read your
story out loud and change up parts that sound awkward or weird.
