In Book I, Jove introduces us to the story of Agamemnon’s tragic death and Orestes’s revenge when he discusses with Minerva the moral shortcomings of humans.
In Book III, Nestor also mentions Orestes when discussing the disgraceful behavior of the suitors in Ithaca and asks what Telemachus plans to do about it.
And, finally, in Book IV, Menelaus also recounts the story of the murder of Agamemnon and the revenge of his son.
