In the chunked method, you

evidence into your
explanation. Which is an
example of explanation that
contains a bit of evidence?
A. The only winner, it seems, are the
wolves, who work in unison...
Saki's use of irony helps convey his belief that
the mantra of 'better late than never' is not
always so true. Readers can immediately
recognize the irony of Ulrich and Georg's
entrapment: they were hunting one another and
now they are trapped with one another. Each
has to face the person they hate the most. Each
man seems to recognize the irony as well.
Ulrich, the legal owner of the land, has been
"Snared in his stolen forest" according to Georg
(Saki 2) Likewise, Ulrich accuses Georg of being
"caught poaching on a neighbor's land" (Saki 2)
As the story continues and as the men's
animosity begins to dwindle in unison with their
energy. Ulrich offers to "bury the old quarrel"
(Saki 5) Georg accepts and the two begin to
ponder a future of friendship. The ultimate act

trees can't even stand upright in a breath
of wind" (Saki 5)...
