Should university education be free?

Free university education would benefit the whole of society, not just the individual students who take advantage of it. Education that is open to all would lead to a more educated and productive workforce. But aside from that, the simple reason higher education should be free is for the sake of equality.

I  don't think so. If it's free, there will be many consequences:

- there is no bonus fund for excellent students, no fund to build and repair if the school is damaged...

- Students will rely on them, they don't even need to pay for their failure to study, but if they study well, they won't have a bonus

- If you don't have money, you can't invest, quality and equipment is degraded

- Normally, if organizing programs, seminars, and other activities, the school must also have funds to spend, if now there is no tuition fee -> there is no fund -> students spend their own money to organize themselves myself?
