An ant a grasshopper

Once up a time, there lived two friends an ant and a grasshopper. The ant was very industrious but, the grasshopper was very lazy and a fun loving fellow. The ant worked hard all from down to dusk during summer. He collected a huge pile of food for the winter. He knew very well that winter would be extremely cold. There would be snow fall and no food. So, he collected it in summer and would enjoy a variety of delicious food. But, his friend grasshopper on the other hand, got lost in delight. He did no longer work. He did not store any food for the winter. He enjoyed all the summer just by singing all day.

to and without are prepositions, so a, b, and d are prepositional phrases. the adverb phrase is c, about the surprise.
