Theo has wanted to be a dancer ever since he could remember. When he was young. he used to put on shows for his parents and their friends, dancing to old records. He
took dance classes and eventually joined a dance troupe that put on performances for local audiences. Eventually his dance teacher asks him to represent their district
at the regional dance competition. Theo is nervous but knows this is his chance. He rehearses every day and chooses the perfect outfit and the perfect music. He shows his dance to a group of dancers from his class, and everyone agrees he will win. However, the week before the competition, Theo twists his ankle and can't perform.
He is really disappointed, but decides to help one of the other dancers from his class, Wynona, practice a dance so she can take his place at the competition. Wynona ends up winning, and Theo feels as proud as if he had done it himself.
