As a new World immigrant nation founded on business and finance, the United States has long attracted immigrants from all over the world with abundant material conditions and stable domestic environment. Communities of different races, languages and cultures co-exist apart, which is the foundation of American prosperity. The racial proportions of American society continue to change as immigration and the nation's minority population grows. The rising number of voting minorities gives them a greater voice in American democracy.
