Kara is a young photographer who will stop at nothing to get the shot she wants, even if it seems unfair to the
subject. Alex is a vain athlete who wants to be loved by the
public.
Which of the following scenes best conveys the basic
elements of this play?
O A. Alex poses. Kara clicks the shutter. She observes the shot in the
viewfinder and laughs softly to herself as if seeing something
amusing
ALEX. What? What was it?
KARA. Nothing. You looked great. Pause. I promise.
OB. Alex extends his hand. Kara shakes it nervously.
ALEX. You're going to make me look good, right?
KARA. I'll do my best. You can look over them before I publish any
of them
The two find an empty wall for Alex to pose against and Kara
begins shooting.
C. Karas phone rings. She looks at it, waits for a beat, then finally picks up. Kara (falsely cheery). Alex! Great to hear from you. Pause. Relief comes over her face. Did you like them? Really? Oh, I'm so glad. D. Alex walks to the table and picks up a newspaper. He pages through it with determination, then stops when he sees it what he is looking for. He frowns. ALEX. What? I look like an idiot! Kara is passing by. She stops. KARA. Is something wrong? ALEX. Yeah, I should have trusted you when you told me not to use that other photographer.
