How does paragraph 2 of The History of Ice Cream relate to Step 2 of "How Ice Cream Is Made"? The process of making ice cream today is more complex than combining frozen milk and rice. The second step to making ice cream is to pasteurize the mixture at high temperatures. There is controversy about who invented ice cream because many people had the same idea at similar times in history. To make ice cream in the past, ice or snow needed to be collected from the mountains and then different flavors were added.
