My goal was putting myself through college for a degree that was a passion. I went about it by applying for every grant, scholarship, then loans I could to do it all myself. I had zero support from my family, as they stated “Passion doesn’t pay the bills,” and disapproved of my major choice. My goal now is to get back on track after working jobs that did not utilize my degree and use it again, since I sacrificed so much for it.
I know that I am able to set and achieve any goal after putting myself through college at the age of 18–working during the night to work at my degree during the day. Nothing can be, will be, or will ever be as hard, but rewarding as that.
