Thunderstorm and cyclone are both natural phenomena occurring in nature for time immemorial. Cyclones are nothing but ocean storms. In simple words, these are storms that take place on a large water body, specifically the ocean. The water spins around an area of low pressure, which is called by the technical term eye.
