why does she write in her diary

It is a strange experience for Anne to write in a diary as she feels that there is nothing as important in the life of a thirteen-year-old that would grab the attention of a reader towards her diary. She believes that she is an ordinary school girl who will write about normal school activities and about her friends which is common to anyone her age and there is nothing spectacular about it.
