The government has contacted your group, leading experts on zombies, for help. The World
Health Organization has recently revealed that a highly dangerous zombie virus has broken out
that is spreading at an alarming rate. It appears that after a person contracts the virus by being
bitten by the infected, the victim quickly dies and then shortly afterward, returns to life--vicious
and hungry for human flesh, especially brains. WHO believes that, considering the speed
communicability of the virus, a zombie apocalypse is imminent.
Directions:
The government has enlisted your group to create a Zombie Survival Guide for immediate
translation into major languages and world-wide distribution, so you must work quickly to save
lives. This guide should include the following sections:
1. Abilities and Behavioral Patterns of Zombies
2. Weapons and Fighting Techniques
3. Safe Places and Zombie Proofing
4. Essential Items
5. In the Event of a Bite
Each of the five sections should have a brief description. You can also include bulleted lists,
diagrams, and drawings that will help the reader. Remember that people reading your manual
will know absolutely nothing about zombies and will need the information to be detailed,
organized, and thorough. Also, consider using procedural writing steps so people will know
what to do, step-by-step.
The fate of humanity could well be in your hands. Good Luck!
Section 1: Abilities and Behavioral Patterns of Zombies
Section 2: Weapons and Fighting Techniques
Section 3: Safe Places and How to Zombie Proof Them
