My heart beats as loud as a drum when I see him. I start to sweat and his eyes seem to be like pools of blue water. My legs danced in place but my body was frozen. The school bells yelled several times till I finally got the hint. He looked away and my smile faded away. He flew away like a feather floating about on a windy day. He seemed gentle like a rabbit yet innocent as a dove. Does he have to float away from me?

when alex falls for the charming new boy at school, cole -- a handsome, funny, sports star who adores her - she can't believe she's finally found her soul who truly loves and understands her.  

at first, alex is blissfully happy. sure, cole seems a little jealous of her relationship with her close friend zack, but what guy would want his girlfriend spending all her time with another boy? as the months pass, though, alex can no longer ignore cole's small put-downs, pinches, or increasingly violent threats.
