Can someone put this in your own words. The statement that I chose is “He who is not courageous enough to not take risks will accomplish nothing in life” -Robert Frost..You need to have fear to be courageous. The reason this is because fear sparks courage. For example, if you are stuck in a tree, and you are scared, you need courage to take a step down and trust the branch not to snap. Another example is if you are trying a new food that could kill you (Sushi or something raw.) then you have fear, but you are courageous to try that new food.
Something else that is true about the statement is that you need courage to do things that make you fearful. For example, the Nez Perce tribe didn’t sign a treaty to stop the fighting. This made both sides worry that the fighting wouldn’t go away. But it was getting a point across that the Nez Perce tribe wouldn’t back down. This is showing the other tribe that they were courageous.
Something else that is true about this statement is that if you don’t try anything new, then you won't ever know how it felt. An example of this is if you never try football, you’ll never know what it feels like to play under the lights on a friday night at a home crowd. Another example is if you never try shooting a gun. You will never know what it is like to feel the ease of pulling the trigger and feeling how smooth the bullets come out, and the kick from the gun to your shoulder.
Something else that is true about this statement is courage literally means “The willingness to respond Fearlessly despite the anxiety.” Notice how it says “To respond FEARLESSLY.” That is what I have been talking about this whole time. There are a lot of types of courage, but they all mean the same thing.
Something else that is true about this statement is another definition is “Courage is doing what you are afraid of. So what I was talking about this whole time is that you need fear to do things that are scary. Otherwise you won't do anything scary.
