Then write an imaginative description of a day in your life as if you were either an embalmer or a funeral director. Feel free to make up stories about the people you meet and the situations you find yourself in. You can also use examples of things that morticians experience, based on your research or reading. You can use a narrative form entirely—as if you were writing a journal entry—or you can use dialogue and description, as if you were writing a story. Your imaginative depiction of a day in the life of a mortician should be at least 500 words long. Include an "epilogue" at the end of your story or fictional journal entry in which you write in your real voice. Write an additional paragraph or two in which you explain why, after imagining yourself in this career, you think it would be a good fit or a bad fit for you.
